              MSBTE has introduced a subject on Entrepreneurship Development program for the final year students. Globalization, liberalization and privatization along with revolution in information technology have opened up new opportunities transforming lives of masses. In this context, there is immense opportunity of establishing manufacturing, service, trading, marketing and consultancy enterprises by diploma engineer. Our fast growing economy provides ample scope for diploma engineers to succeed as an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship requires distinct skill sets which are attempted to be developed through this course. To begin with, this course aims to develop the competency and the related outcomes in order to start small enterprises.

The aim of this course is to help the student to attain the following industry identified competency:

• Identify entrepreneurial traits.
• Identify the business opportunities that is suitable to demographic conditions.
• Use the support systems to zero down the challenges to execute your business idea.
• Develop comprehensive business plans.
• Prepare plans to manage the enterprise effectively.

Activities supported by Entrepreneurship Development Cell are:
• Encouragement and enhancement knowledge of students who are interested in starting a business and to provide ideas for starting their own business after completion of diploma.
• Conduct awareness and development program for the students at the institute.
• Conduct industrial visits, expert lectures, seminars, training program and workshops in the related fields of interest and need.
• Develop a strong database on all the industrial activities, government policies etc.
• Promote entrepreneurs in the thrust areas..
